Effects of Smoking/Vaping: Most of my patients with dentures are smokers /ex-smokers, as people who smoke are more likely to develop gum disease which is the major cause of multiple teeth loss, and the risk is higher depending on family history. The gums get just as damaged from vaping as they do from smoking, if not more, depending on how often you vape and how young you start.
Take Prompt Action: If you're experiencing pain in your teeth, it might be a sign of nerve involvement and all too late! This could lead to more expensive, extensive, and complex, procedures like extractions or root canals and crowns. Act early, and get a check-up, to avoid it.
Frequency of Checkups: If a person is healthy and cares for their teeth, they usually only need an annual checkup with their dentist and an oral hygiene visit every six months. This is inexpensive compared to all other possibilities.

The easier, less time-consuming, less risky option is to remove plaque with an electric toothbrush which calcifies only after 5- 6 days!
