WHY DOES RIZ RECOMMEND THIS?
The Philips Sonicare for Kids Electric Toothbrush is my most preferred option for children's teeth brushing. I am usually not a fan of the sonic care brushes as the technique for brushing with a sonic care is similar to the a manual brushing(circular motion on 2-3 at a time) which is hard to achieve , so needs time to master.

Why I like it, is that this brush comes with an app that helps you track the brushing of the children's teeth,Parents can track their child's progress through the app, and effective way to promote healthy oral hygiene habits.

It can be very effective at a stage when you are transitioning from parental supervision and support which is advised till 7 years according to guidelines for brushing. Although in my personal opinion parents have to keep an eye on the newly erupted and erupting adult teeth and that starts from 6 yrs to 13 years. The all important adult teeth - if looked after well at this stage with good brushing can last the children for a lifetime ,and so would be in my opinion the most crucial age for caring for a person's teeth.

The technique for brushing with a sonic care toothbrush is different to the Oscillating Oral B brush ,with this brush - although we have to hold the bristles to the gum line of the teeth - we also have to move the brush head in a circular motion - with 1-2 teeth t a time , and also use a sweeping motion to clean in between the teeth. Technique is very important ad so is making sure the children can see themselves in the mirror while brushing.
The most commonly missed areas for children are the upper back teeth and also the upper front teeth unfortunately ,and thus the most commonly decayed teeth also is the upper back , lower backand upper front teeth for children , the lower front teeth are protected and washed well with the saliva and so do not get as much decays.
