I had the pleasure of working with a highly cooperative patient who faced a significant dental challenge. This patient had lost all of their teeth behind the upper right canine, and they only had one premolar with a poor prognosis behind the upper left canine. They approached us seeking to restore their smile and dental function since they were experiencing difficulties with chewing food and had no interest in using dentures.

To address this complex case, we devised a comprehensive plan. First, we extracted the upper left first premolar and then placed one implant on either side of the mouth. The plan involved creating a cantilever bridge design in which two teeth are retained by a single implant on each side.

I personally performed the implant placements and subsequent restoration. The result was a full and pleasing smile that not only improved the patient's appearance but also fully restored their dental functionality. With their new dental structure, the patient could enjoy a wider variety of foods, which significantly improved their quality of life.

In addition to the implant bridge work, we also performed some simple white fillings to address abrasion cavities resulting from brushing and gum recession. These additional treatments further enhanced the overall appearance of the patient's smile.

The outcome of this case was a testament to the transformative power of dental procedures and their impact on a patient's oral health, functionality, and self-confidence. The patient was quite pleased with the result, and I was delighted to be able to assist in improving their quality of life.
