A patient came to my clinic concerned about a missing front tooth, which affected both the aesthetics of their smile and their overall dental functionality.
Treatment: After a thorough examination and assessment of the patient's oral health, we discussed the option of replacing the missing tooth with a dental implant. Dental implants are a popular and effective solution for replacing missing teeth as they provide stability, strength, and a natural look. The process began with the placement of a titanium implant post into the jawbone, which serves as a new root for the tooth. After allowing time for the implant to integrate with the bone, a process known as osseointegration, we then attached an abutment followed by a custom-made crown that matched the color and shape of the patient's natural teeth.
Outcome: The implant restoration was successful, offering the patient a durable and aesthetically pleasing solution. The new tooth seamlessly blended with the surrounding teeth, restoring the patient’s smile and confidence. Additionally, the implant helped preserve the jawbone and maintain the alignment of the surrounding teeth, preventing future dental issues. The patient was extremely satisfied with the result, appreciating the natural look and feel of the implant.
