A patient presented to my clinic unhappy with his upper denture used to replace his missing front teeth. He expressed dissatisfaction with both the aesthetics and comfort of the denture, noting it felt artificial and was troublesome to manage daily. Although interested in a more permanent solution like dental implants, he was also very apprehensive about the idea of undergoing surgery and was concerned about having a restoration that looked unnatural.
Treatment: After discussing his concerns and evaluating his oral health, I provided detailed information about the dental implant process, emphasizing its benefits, including durability, natural appearance, and the ability to maintain bone health. To address his fear of surgery, we explored all aspects of the procedure, including anesthesia options to ensure comfort throughout the process. Once he felt more reassured and understood the aesthetic benefits of custom-made implants that mimic natural teeth, he decided to proceed with the implant treatment.
Outcome: The implant surgery went smoothly with the patient well-managed for discomfort and anxiety. Post-surgery, the patient received a custom-designed bridge that matched the color and contour of his natural teeth, ensuring it blended seamlessly with his smile. The final result exceeded his expectations, providing a functional and aesthetically pleasing solution. He was delighted with the natural look and feel of the implan bridget, and his initial fears were alleviated by the straightforward and pain-managed procedure. The patient was particularly pleased with how the implant restored his smile without the drawbacks of a denture, significantly improving his quality of life.
