CC had never felt confident enough to smile fully due to her condition. After a thorough examination and discussion, we decided on a comprehensive treatment plan to address her concerns:
Crown Lengthening Surgery:
To correct her gummy smile and increase the visible length of her teeth, we performed gum surgery. This procedure exposed more of the tooth structure, allowing for a more balanced and aesthetically pleasing smile.
Tooth Extraction:
One of the front teeth, which was beyond repair, was extracted during the treatment.
Restoration with Crowns:
The remaining upper front teeth were restored with crowns featuring milled ledges, ensuring durability and an improved appearance.
Partial Dentures:
Upper and lower metal chrome partial dentures were fabricated and fitted to replace the missing teeth and restore full function.
Outcome
CC was extremely pleased with the results. The crown lengthening surgery effectively reduced her gummy smile, and the combination of crowns and partial dentures restored both the function and aesthetics of her teeth. She felt confident and happy with her new smile, which significantly improved her overall quality of life.

Patient Concern
CC, a 55-year-old female, came to our clinic expressing concern about the unsightly appearance of her short upper front teeth and a gummy smile. She had a history of Anorexia Nervosa and acid reflux, both of which had contributed to significant erosion and attrition of her teeth.
