I had the opportunity to work with a patient who presented with a challenging dental issue. They had a single crooked tooth in a gap between two teeth, with a failing situation on either side. Unfortunately, there were no pictures of the previous tooth to reference. To address this, we made the decision to extract the problematic tooth and place a dental implant.
Our plan involved not just replacing the extracted tooth but also addressing the gap on both sides. To achieve this, we opted for a single cantilever bridge. This type of bridge involves a tooth suspended off the implant to one side, effectively replacing two teeth with a single implant.
Additionally, there was a significant amount of soft tissue loss in this area, which can impact the appearance and functionality of the restoration. To address this issue, we used pink composite material to mask the soft tissue loss. This not only helped to restore a natural appearance but also provided a functional solution.
The final result was highly satisfying, and it was rewarding to see the patient's smile restored. This case highlights how modern dental techniques and materials can be employed to address complex dental challenges and deliver a successful outcome.

Patient Concerns:
The patient had a single tooth positioned between two others, which was crooked, and there were gaps on both sides of the teeth
Unfortunately, there were no images available of the previous tooth.
Soft tissue loss in the area was also a concern.
Treatment:
The decision was made to extract the problematic tooth and replace it with a dental implant.
A single cantilever bridge was planned, where a tooth would hang off the implant on one side, effectively replacing the gap with 2 teeth to avoid either a large tooth or toleave gaps on either side as it was previously.
Pink composite material was used to address the soft tissue loss.
Outcome:
The result was highly satisfying, achieving the aesthetic and functional goals.
The complex dental challenge was effectively addressed, and a pleasing outcome was achieved.
This case demonstrates how modern dental techniques and materials can be employed to address intricate dental issues and deliver a successful result.
