Corsodyl Mouthwash Mint, Gum Disease & Bleeding Gum Treatment Mouthwash, 600ml
This mouthwash from Corsodyl features a mint flavor and is specifically formulated for the treatment of gum disease and bleeding gums. With a generous volume of 600ml, it provides a comprehensive oral care solution.
WHY DOES RIZ RECOMMEND THIS?
Corsodyl 0.2% is a mouthwash that contains chlorhexidine gluconate, an antiseptic that is effective against various bacteria and fungi. It is often recommended by dentists for patients who are undergoing active gum treatment or who have recently undergone dental surgery.
The 0.20% concentration of Chlorhexidine in this mouthwash is considered strong and is recommended for short-term use 10 days only.
Indication for 2-3 weeks maximum at a time.
1. For use between an active periodontal deep cleaning protocol
2.After an implant or a periodontal surgery
3. After extractions
I do not recommend a chlorhexidine containing mouthwash for regular daily use , even of the lower concentration apparently called the 'daily' version. These mouthwashes are brilliant and stays so well adhered on the gums as long lasting , but also to the teeth , and thus it holds any colour that come sits way like tea/coffee / smoking / red wise / curries and the like. Another reason why ,I do not like chlorhexidine products on a a daily basis ( Perio plus daily / Corsodyl daily )is that its masks gum disease like smoking does by reducing the bleeding , and it also can alter your taste sensation if used for a long time.
Corsodyl 0.2% mouthwash would be an ALTERNATIVE OPTION FOR THE INDICATIONS ABOVE IF PERIO PLUS IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR YOU.
